Half title, decorative title page, xvi page introduction by Rhys, 52pp. Full page illustrations and text pages with decorative borders by MacDougall. In a fine hand tooled leather binding of tan Niger Morocco with five raised bands, gilt ruled lines and lettering to spine. Both boards with double ruled gilt borders with floral design in each corner. Title lettered in gilt to front board. Board edges ruled in gilt. Inner boards with double gilt ruled borders to the turn-ins and Binders monogram to the rear inner board. Plain white Japon Vellum endpapers. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. The binding is signed in gilt on the rear turn-in with a
cyper consisting of the letters C A L M, the monogram for Miss C. A. L. MaCrae. A fine and attractive craft binding on a beautifully illustrated book
